Welcome to the Lithuanian Cricket Federation!
Play cricket? Interested in Cricket? Living in Lithuania? All are welcome, anytime of the year!
The Lithuanian Cricket League has 3 teams entered into a 40 over a-side league, as well as 20/20 format competitions, for the 2009 season.
There are 2 teams in Vilnius (Vilnius CC & Vilnius University CC), one team (Kaunas Medicals) play out of Kaunas. It is hoped a 3rd Vilnius team will be established during the 2009 season.
Summer training is held on Thursday nights at 1800 and Sunday from 16:00 at the Geležinio Vilko sports club. During the winter, we move indoors to the Sv Kazamiero school sports hall, where matches and practice take place on Fridays at 1800.
After a successful 2008, when the Lithuanian Cricket Federation hosted a number of touring teams, we aim to expand our fixture list for 2009. Fixtures can be arranged for touring teams to play a selection of league teams and the Lithuanian national team at our pleasant riverside ground, close to Vilnius city centre with all of its amenities.

JUNIOR CRICKET TRAINING
The Lithuanian Cricket Federation is pleased to announce that starting in July we will begin Junior cricket training sessions.
For a few hours on sunday mornings from 11:30, (STARTING JULY 4TH) several of the senior players will be organizing a proper junior development programme (adults can also try!)
Right now we want to get an expression of interest of how many kids would be participating. So please forward this message to families.
If you are interest and want more information reply to:-info@cricketlithuania.com
The program
Our aim is to encourage the kids of both expats and locals to start playing cricket. We want both girls and boys to enjoy the fun activities we will be offering during the 2 hour sessions.
The sessions will include activities like, fielding practice, bowling practice and batting practice. Also to end each training session, the kids will play a small modified version of cricket for kids.
The equipment used: Soft balls and lighter, shorter bats are all part of the equipment we will use to make it friendlier and easier for kids.
The fee would be only 5Lt per child per session (this fee is to cover the ground charge).
For Parents;
Any parents who wish to hone their skills, they are more than welcome to join the fun. The junior training will be followed with adult practice and games.
BBQ for all the families. At the end of the training, before and during when the adults play their game, we will have a BBQ. BYO food.
And also, if there are any parents that play cricket already, and would like to assist us in this, please also let us know. Or if you would like to help with the BBQ please tell us. The more help we can get for this, the more fun and enjoyment for all. Please download the PDF file.
